Julia Bevis is a Melbourne-based Artist and Creative Director. Working out of her studio in Spotswood, her works focus on the importance of place through painting urban spaces and nature landscapes. In 2024 she is bringing the power of words to her art and creating her first solo show.

Julia is an advocate for the arts, In 2023 she founded and directed the inaugural Inner West Art Fair. One of the only art fairs that takes 0 commissions from any art sold. Over the three-day event, it saw 29 artists sell their works in one of Melbourne’s most contemporary art spaces, The Substation. “It has always been important for me to create an opportunity to show art at its grassroots and have fun along the way. In my belief the quality of art is enhanced when you’re having fun.” - Julia Bevis. The second year of IWAF saw another successful weekend of art, music and community.
